The Gallia County Commissioners declared an emergency for Gallia County in a brief meeting held this morning at the Gallia County 911 center. The emergency declaration gives the County potential access to State and Federal funding should damages be assessed in connection with the recent flood.

According to EMA Director Sherry Daines, the Emergency Management Agency will continue to monitor flooding and will be reaching out to townships and villages soon to discuss assessment of damages.
