Michael “Shannon” Henderson, 44, Thurman, a person of interest in a criminal investigation, was reportedly taken into custody on Sunday.
“We would like to thank everyone who has submitted tips in an effort to help us take this man into custody. We truly appreciate the public support and all of the information we receive, which amplifies our ability [to] bring people to justice,” said Gallia County Sheriff Matt Champlin in an issued statement. “We would also like to say a big thank you to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Post 27 for their assistance in this capture.”
According to the original release from the GCSO, deputies responded to investigate a disturbance on Claylick Road in Clay Township on January 22. The suspect, Michael “Shannon” Henderson, who allegedly threatened harm to the “victim(s)” fled the scene. The GCSO released a statement on its Facebook page announcing they were looking for Henderson in connection with the incident.
Henderson was charged in Gallipolis Municipal Court with three counts of aggravated menacing. Sheriff Champlin said his office is consulting with Gallia County Prosecutor Jason Holdren’s office regarding additional charges.

The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding the whereabouts of a person of interest in a criminal investigation.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a disturbance on Claylick Road in Clay Township. While in response to the call for service, the suspect Michael “Shannon” Henderson, who had threatened harm to the victim(s) fled the scene.
At this time, the Sheriff’s Office is requesting information as to the whereabouts of Mr. Henderson for questioning. Mr. Henderson, if you are reading this, we encourage you to turn yourself in to our office as you cannot hide for very long.
