On Sunday, December 3rd, 2017, the Gallipolis Police Department along with the Major Crimes Task Force of Gallia and Meigs Counties executed a search warrant at 1156 Second Ave in Gallipolis.
Chief Jeff Boyer stated the search warrant was obtained by the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commissions Major Crimes Task Force of Gallia and Meigs Counties with the assistance of the Gallia County Prosecutor Jason Holdren’s Office.
During the search officers allegedly located heroin, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Two adults and two juveniles were also allegedly located inside the residence.
Names were not released pending consultation with the Gallia County Prosecutor’s Office regarding charges to be filed against the individuals.
The Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commissions Major Crimes Task Force of Gallia-Meigs was formed in September 2013 and consists of the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, Gallipolis Police Department and the Middleport Police Department, as well as the Gallia and Meigs County Prosecutor’s offices.
