On Saturday, November 18, 2017, the Gallia County Firefighter’s Association held a “Boot Drive” for the Gallia County Community Christmas Project (GCCCP) and raised $5,131.35.

“On behalf of myself and BOCOM [Body of Christ Outreach Ministry], I would like to personally thank each and every fire fighter who gave their time for the children of our community and to those who graciously stopped to donate money.  May God Bless you all,” stated Pastor Bob Scott.

The donation will be used by BOCOM, a participating group in the GCCCP, to help purchase gifts for children who are being served through the GCCCP.  The GCCCP is a community project comprised of various volunteers and organizations that provide Christmas presents to children in Gallia County whose families need help around the Christmas Season.   For more information on becoming a GCCCP sponsor contact: BOCOM at BOCOM4Gallia@ymail.com.

The GCCCP is an umbrella for several different Christmas Projects to work together to provide Christmas gifts to more children while reducing duplications, etc.  The history of the project shows this truly is a community project for there are several community partners (in that, Churches, Clubs, Organizations, Businesses, Schools, Individuals, etc.) who have pulled together to sponsor children.  It takes our entire community working together for this project to be a success. For more information on becoming a GCCCP sponsor, you may contact BOCOM or simply participate in one of the many Christmas Projects throughout our community for children.
