GALLIPOLIS, Ohio – Four individuals have been sentenced to prison on various charges.

According to Gallia County Prosecuting Attorney Jason D. Holdren, Anthony M. Moore, Ryan Cochran, Leeza D. Bartles and Misty Perry were by Judge Margaret Evans in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court recently.

Anthony M. Moore, 40, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was sentenced to two and one-half years in prison for his convictions of Receiving Stolen Property and Failure to Appear. “As the public may recall, Mr. Moore was convicted of Receiving Stolen Property, a felony of the fourth degree, and scheduled to be sentenced on June 15, 2017, facing a maximum sentence of 18 months,” stated Holdren. “The Defendant failed to appear for this hearing and my office indicted him on the charge of Failure to Appear. Additionally, Sheriff Champlin and I, via social media, sought the assistance of our citizens in locating Mr. Moore. Within 24 hours Mr. Moore was arrested based on tips provided by the public. Mr. Moore was further convicted of Failure to Appear and sentenced to prison on July 6, 2017.”

Ryan Cochran, 26, of Bidwell, Ohio, was sentenced to five years in prison for his convictions of Tampering with Evidence, Safecracking, Receiving Stolen Property, and Weapons Under Disability. “As our citizens may recall, on March 12, 2017, the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mr. Cochran and his co-defendants in the Patriot area following a chase where Mr. Cochran was a passenger. Mr. Cochran threw a firearm from the vehicle during the pursuit. Once the vehicle was stopped and secured, Mr. Cochran was found to possess items that had been taken from a home in the area.”

Leeza D. Bartles, 23, of Bidwell, Ohio was sentenced to two years in prison for her recent convictions of Gross Abuse of a Corpse and Tampering with Evidence. “To date, two of the three individuals involved in this matter have been arrested, convicted and sentenced to prison. My office, along with Sheriff Champlin’s office, continue to seek information regarding the whereabouts of Lacey J. Young, who is wanted in connection to the death investigation of Terry Rothgeb,” Holdren said.

Misty Perry, 37, of Jackson, Ohio, was also sentenced to four years in prison for her recent conviction of Felonious Assault.
