GALLIPOLIS, Ohio – The Gallipolis Municipal Swimming Pool will host a Moana Luau Pool Party on Saturday, June 24, 2017. The pool party is a non-profit community event sponsored by the Gallipolis Foundation.
Fans of the popular Disney film; Moana will love this event. The pool will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for this event. There will be a meet and greet, with characters from the movie; Moana and Maui until 7:30 p.m., an outdoor viewing of the movie, a luau themed dance party and open swimming until 9:30 p.m. Food will be available on a donation only basis.
“The Moana Luau Pool Party is being put on by the pool improvement committee with the hopes of bringing awareness to the need for pool improvements and as an opportunity for people to give back to the pool while doing something fun. This fundraising event is being put on solely by volunteers with 100% of the proceeds going to the pool improvement fund. The Gallipolis Pool Improvement Committee formed with the mission to raise funds for the Gallipolis Municipal Pool through fundraising and grant writing, while providing safe, fun opportunities for community involvement. The overall goal is to improve upon existing resources to promote the health and well-being of Gallia County residents,” said Mindy Caldwell, Gallipolis City Pool Improvement Committee member.
Tickets for this event are $25 each, which includes one adult and one child admission and can be purchased at the pool, or at www.eventbrite.com . There is a limit of 225 tickets being sold. All of the proceeds from this event will go directly to the pool improvement fund.
