GALLIPOLIS, Ohio – The Gallia County Chamber of Commerce will host the Legislative Town Hall at the Dr. Samuel L. Bossard Memorial Library, located at 7 Spruce St. in Gallipolis, on May 23, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will be held in the Riverside Room, and is sponsored by AT&T.

This event has been held annually for the past 21 years and is designed to link the community with their elected leaders. This year, the chamber decided to use a town hall format, so that people from the community could not only attend, but ask questions about issues that concern them.

Cards will be handed out, so that people can write down their questions, and then give to a moderator, who will direct the question to the appropriate person. Anyone wishing to submit their question early, can do so by sending it to eorsbon@galliacounty.org.

Those scheduled to attend are: Todd Shelton; Representative for U.S. Senator Rob Portman, Juli Stephens; Representative for U.S. Congressman Bill Johnson, Gallia County Commission President; Harold Montgomery, and Gallipolis City Commission President; Tony Gallagher.

Michelle Miller; Executive Director of the Gallia County Chamber of Commerce, says that “The Chamber is excited to offer this opportunity and appreciate AT&T’s continued support. Last year, we partnered for the first time with Bossard Memorial Library and will do so again this year. The Riverside Room is such a great addition to our community and Lynn Pauley, Debbie Saunders and the rest of the Bossard staff are just so supportive and easy to work with. This event gives the public the opportunity to ask questions of their local, state and federal leaders, all in one room. Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate.”

Admission is free, and although it is not required, RSVP is appreciated, and can be done by visiting http://business.galliacounty.org/events/details/gallia-county-chamber-legislative-town-hall-2762 or by calling the Chamber at 740-446-0596.
